Is there anything that stuff cant fix?

I tried Dusty's WD-40 on the strings trick...and I'll be damned, it worked.

If you're cheap like me or you hate going to the guitar store for new strings, or if you hate changin em....git a f'n roadie...lol...naah...just grab a can o WD-40 and some paper towels. Spray down the towel and wipe down the strings carefully....they may squeak a little bit, but my guess is thats ok, since it didnt hurt anything...lol. then just do a quick fretboard wipe to make sure there's not a bunch of residue, and you oughta be all set. My strings sound just as bright as a couple days after they went on....aka right about when they stop sounding brand new.

hehehe thought I was kiddin' eh??? Kinda cleans the sweat and grunge ect that gets on the strings,,,
funny story,,last week,,,I had a problem with the Coachman,,, on the smog,, something or other...which is connected to the alternator by a fan belt and burning rubber and squeling like a stuck pig.....so I had to drop if off to get fixed.. and when the shuttle service was dropping me off home,, I was telling the kid... "Man, I went in my roadside emergency kit,, and took out a crowbar, hammer and a can of WD-40....I squirted it with WD-40.. banged it with the hammer... and adjusted it with the crowbar, and it smoked so much I thought it was gonna catch fire....so I figured ,I'd bring it to you guys to fix,,,, " and the kid was laffin so hard..tears were streaming down his face..... hehehe....

you know what they say...if duct tape and or WD-40 dont fix it....its officially broke.

Dusty: no, I knew you weren't kidding...I just never tried it until now...and my hands sweat a lot when I play, especially when I play slide for a while...so the strings get all black and coated with crud....and the crud went away...strings arent shiny bright and new, but they sound like they are.
