I use alot of them,,, I probally have close to 20.... but use a cheap piece of copper pipe...for my little finger..for most of my playing,,
On 'Moon Going Down' on Big River Blues CD, I used a ham bone,,,,and got a real gritty sound... which I thought fit the feel of the song....
I got the bone from a Old Black man, Nick. who was a cook,, he asked Me what I wanted it for... and I told him I was gonna boil it, till the meat came off it,,sand it down and use it as a slide to play the Blues,,, he looked at me and said 'are u sure your not gonna eat it ???'
I told him NO,,, but he brought over a big plate of food to feed me..... just to make sure , I guess, that I wasent gonna gnaw on it when his back was turned lol
