I was just looking at my cat and he just inspired me to make this thread. What kind of pets does everyone have? If you have none, what would you like to have?

Abi and me have a dog, Gibber, 2 siamese cats, Bluey and Cupcake, a rabbit, Cookie, 3 ginea pigs, Aquarious Smile, Copelia, Ice Cream, a hamster, Polka Dot, and a hermit crab, Hurmie.

Dusty has a singing doberman named Jake, there are several pics of Jake around the site here and Tasha too who past on last year. You can hear Jake singing on some of the clips here too.

speaking of pets, i have a great little kitty named PI (like the math number....3.21740987598459894857294875.....)

he's the best cat (read: only cat) i've ever had. love him! very low maintenance.

a good friend of mine used to complain about his girlfriends dog all the time. well, today as he was backing out of the driveway, he hit a 'bump'. it was the dog. RIP little doggie.

well, at least the cat doesnt talk back, stay out all night, and leave his underwear laying around all over the place.

oh, and the cat's neutered. i think Mr. Linnie might not like that much.

I've got a cat named Chester and a dog named Greta.
One of the best pets I ever had was a black and white ex-lab rat named Gunga that I got as a birthday present as a kid.

I have exactly one fish in one bowl. A beta. He's bright crimson with purple "roots" (the place where the fins join the body). We call him "Red Elmo."

When I was young and we lived in the county I had dogs, a rabbit, a turtle...my Dad was always bringing stray animals home, my mom would just shake her head. I live in an apartment in the big city now and my son Dylan who is 9 keeps begging me to get a dog..."Just a small one?" he pleads. I'd love to have a dog but don't think its fair to leave one alone in an apartment all day. He lives with his mom during most of the week, unfortunately, his step-dad is allergic to dogs (and cats, and rats...you get the picture). anyway, yeah my goal is to buy a house in a couple of years and my first order of business will be a dog and maybe a cat. Dylan has gone through 2 hamsters in 3 years. It was only after I bought the little rodent that I discovered they only have a lifespan of 2 years. And you can't even tell when they're getting old, they just keep running in that damn wheel all night then just drop dead one day. So in case you're thinking of getting a hamster for your kid, ask in the store how old it is before you buy it!

We've got 5 cats. One adopted from a shelter and 4 rescued. Smokey, Cricket, Pest (originally named Raisin but her personality changed it), Duncan, and Jet.

Remember to do them a favor and yourself by having them spayed or neutered.

technically, none of them are my pets, but the pets adopt me as their humans....my girlfriend's parents have a 5 year old beagle named Sadie, and about a month ago, after Katie had settled into her apartment, she went to a human society and we picked out a 3 year old kitty, which was named Abby, and we kept the name, because it seemed to fit.

I've had numerous fish, a bird, a bunny (of which I want another one), a couple hermit crabs, and oddly enough, a lamb. The bunny and sheep were kept at my grandmothers house, which used to be a farm, so it had room.

Dusty: oops...poor Lambert...hehe. Mine was kinna old, actually...my grandfather bought them at a livestock auction of some sort....had em for five or six years, and then they got some kind of sheep disease or something. After they died was when we got the bunnies, I think. Unfortunately, since both grandparents who lived in that house have since passed, all i have is my spotty memory of what happened first, second, etc.

Mark, we got a bunny. He is a little bastard and he bites me. Scratches too and he is mean to me but he is nice to Abi. I am allergic too but I let Abi get him. I think he doesn't like me because I cut his nails. His two teeth in the front had to get trimmed too because he wasn't chewing on the chew things he had so the vet told me to get a pair of toe nail clippers and cut the teeth. To heck with that I am not doing that! Vet does it for $10...

Pam: heh...our bunnies were domesticated somehow, I forget how...I think they might have been captive bred or something....they are like a cat, though...they'll letcha know when to leave them alone...hehe. Abby the cat hated us for about a day or so after we cut her nails the first time, but once she got lonely of sitting by herself, she forgave us.

sweet of you to get a pet that yer allergic to, just so she could have it.
