Spring has finally arrived here at Big River! Time for listening to the crickets chirping on the back deck near the water and playing some guitar while the sun slowly sets and day turns to night...

Today is Earth Day and all of us at Idlewild East hope you are all enjoying the many festivities of the day while doing your part to keep Mother Earth a beautiful place to live and travel about while also preserving her beauty for many future generations to enjoy!

In other news we would like to let you know about the Fence Fund for Rose Hill Cemetary. There is going to be a fan friendly fence erected around the resting place of Duane Allman and Berry Oakley. We have seen the plans for the fence and think they are wonderful! The fence will help to keep out the vandals but allow those of us who wish to visit there a more fan friendly place in order to pay our respects. All of us at Idlewild East are all for helping out with the Fence Fund and are also willing to support the Allman and Oakley families raise the funds to make this happen. The goal at this time is $30,000.00 and with a little help from the fans, can be reached. Even sending off just $1.00 in an envelope will add up quick to get a little closer to the goal. Together we can all pitch in what we can to help this happen and to prevent any further damage happening to the marble.

Donations can be sent to:

Dusty and Titan and all of us at Idlewild East wish you all a wonderful and safe Spring and Summer for 2007. Get out and support your local bands and venues because outdoor shows are springing up everywhere! Music and sunshine are good for your soul!
